Bitcoin Venezia Meetup presents: BITCOIN ARENA
Paolo Barrai, the “Vittorio Sgarbi” of the Bitcoin movement, and Massimo Morini, the “Piero Angela” of the derivatives: two extraordinary characters that will engage in a friendly clash during our meeting. An occasion to delve deeply into the pros and cons of cryptocurrencies and their regulation, a hotly discussed and controversial topic of our time.

After the light dinner and welcoming, the event will go into high gear with the talk by Paolo Barrai, co-founder of Cryptolab SA, discussing the topic of “Stable coins and crypto’s massive adoption”. He will be followed by his challenger, Massimo Morini, professor of the Bocconi University in Milan. His talk, “Rebooting finance in a crypto-age” sets to show how the low-interest rates in the Eurozone and the rise of cryptocurrencies are to be considered as two sides of the same issue, and that the connection between Blockchain and traditional Economics goes deeper than that. Distributed systems are a true alternative to the centralized business model in today’s financial market.
The later part of the evening will be dedicated to more specialized discussions. Maria Woncisz, Country Manager for Europe at Luno, will present “The Evolution of Money and the Italian perspective”, while Davide Baldi (Luxochain CEO and Founder) and Natale Consonni (Luxochain Founder) will segue with “Blockchain for luxury Brands against forgery and gray market”, with an emphasis on the evolution of the market of ICO, STO, Stable Coin & Exchange, and the case study “Blockchain meets Luxury Brands – not just speculation” discussing practical applications of the Blockchain technology in the business world.
A Q&A session will formally conclude the Meetup, which however will move into the Auditorium bar to extend into the wee hours, in the Networking Night.
